Immokalee, FL. This is a community about 40 miles inland from Naples. It's mostly Haitian and Mexican immigrants. We were there to cover a story about families who had their houses or trailers destroyed by Hurricane Wilma, Dec. 2005, and are still waiting to get new FEMA trailers. This girl, Maria Perez, 12, her 7-year-old sister and her parents have been living in a tiny camper trailer since Dec. 2005. They have a new full size FEMA trailer on their lot, but it has not been hooked up. All they can do is stair in the windows. In the picture, Maria is watching her two pet rabbits, Max and Ruby. She was outside the trailer hanging out because there isn't really any space to do anything but sleep inside.
